British conductor Jack Gonzalez-Harding is mentored by Sir Simon Rattle and John Carewe.
This season, Jack joins Glyndebourne Festival Opera as assistant conductor where he will assist Robin Ticciati among others, working with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment. He will assist Sir Simon Rattle with the Lucerne Festival Orchestra, Berliner Philharmoniker, Czech Philharmonic and will conduct off-stage for Rattle’s concert performances of Janáček’s The Makropulos Affair with the London Symphony Orchestra. For Sir Mark Elder, Jack conducted off-stage for Delius’ A Mass of Life with the BBC Symphony Orchestra at the 2025 BBC Proms; he will also assist Thomas Adés with the London and BBC Symphony Orchestras.
With his own ensemble, Barbican Sinfonia, upcoming concerts include Mahler Symphony No. 4 at the Barbican Centre’s Milton Court Concert Hall and a return in 2026 to Smith Square Hall. Jack regularly conducts the London Mozart Players.
Born in 2003, Jack trained as a keyboardist at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Highlight projects as a keyboardist included lieder at the Wigmore Hall and a tour of Bach’s Goldberg Variations with excerpts live on BBC Radio 3.
