Choral Scholarships 2027-28

Applications for 2027-28 will open in November 2026.

Audition Date: Saturday 27th February 2027, at St John’s Hyde Park.

Audition Requirements: one solo from Handel’s Messiah, plus your choice of a contrasting work, preferably either opera or musical theatre. There will also be some sight-reading tests.

Applications are annually sought for 8 choral scholars (SSAATTBB). The scholarship scheme is supported by the William Gibbs Religious & Educational Trust and offers payment of £240 per week, plus additional service fees during the year as they arise. To qualify for this, candidates must be in full-time education during their tenure and be able to live in the parish or an adjoining parish. Maps can be supplied.

The scholarship year will run from September 2027 to July 2028.
