New Children's Community Choir

In September a new Children's Community Choir began meeting on Wednesday afternoons at St John's. During the half hour sessions the children, aged 6 and up, are exploring singing with movement and games as they engage with different genres of music; from pop to musicals. So far the children have been learning Food, Glorious Food from Oliver and When I Grow Up from Matilda.

Robert Greenhill has been working on rhythm, breathing, listening, singing and dance with the children in the 4.30pm sessions. Robert is Director of Music at St John’s Hyde Park, vocal tutor in Music Theatre at Royal Holloway and lecturer in Musical Theatre at the London College of Music.

The group will continue meeting until December, with a break at half-term. If you are a child 6 years old or over and would be interested in joining the group, contact the office at St John's or come along on a Wednesday afternoon at 4.20.
