St John's Choral scholars in collaboration with St James and St John CofE Primary School and St George's Hanover Square CofE Primary School and a combo orchestra will be performing Oliver! by Lionel Bart. St John's Director of Music, Robert Greenhill, is directing the performance while Nick Miller will be playing the recently refurbished pipe organ, Betty. Tickets will be available from the 25th May on eventbrite on the door or from the church office - £5 per adult, children go free.

This event is part of the programme of events celebrating the restoration of Betty, the pipe organ of St John's Hyde Park, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. Betty was originally constructed in 1865 by Hill and Sons and the 3-manual Hill organ was restored to her original sound in 2015 thanks to the Heritage Lottery Fund. To learn more about the project to save Betty, the organ, visit her own website.
