A cavalcade of horses and riders from Hyde Park and beyond gather outside St John’s, Hyde Park Crescent. The vicar appears before the congregation on a horse for the traditional blessing of the horses.
This festive occasion gathers the horses that use Hyde Park, including horseguards, the police and carriages, as well as other horses from across the South East of England, for a traditional blessing. Surrounding all the horsing around is a traditional village fete including refreshments, jazz music, cake stall and many children’s activities. A great day for the whole family it is not to be missed. A festival eucharist starts at 10am followed by village fete, blessing and cavalcade of horses.
