We arrive at the College (130 Queen Victoria Street EC4V 4BT) at 6.15 for 6.30pm, where Rouge Croix Pursuivant will meet us. He will speak about the history of heraldry and the rôle of the Heralds, a little about the architecture of the building and how the College organises its practices, and then spend a good hour in the Record Room showing us a selection of records dating back to 1484. We will be plied with wine throughout the visit and end with a buffet supper of cold meats and fish, pasta and salad, followed by cheese, fruit and a mini-sweet, before leaving by 10.00pm. There is a 24 hour car park across the road, nearest tube St Paul’s. NB there are lengthy periods of standing during this visit and the loos are on the 3rd floor (it is a 17th century building). The all in cost is £37.50. Please pay Margaret to secure your place (20 max).
