Save Betty

The campaign to save the 1865 Hill & Son Grade 2* listed Pipe Organ at St John's. The instrument was restored in 2015 with sponsorship from the Heritage Lottery Fund but there is an ongoing series of events.

 
 

Reckless Giving

Reckless Giving was launched in W2 in 2013 by a collection of local residents, organisations and businesses. Encouraging people to have fun while raising money for charity. In three years the campaign has raised over £40,000 shared across 9 charities.

 
 

St James and St John C.E. Primary School

St James and St John is a local Church of England Primary School which St John's shares responsibility for with the neighbouring St James', Sussex Gardens. The school community is a microcosm of the multicultural society benefiting from the diversity of faiths and backgrounds.

The Hyde Park Estate

St John's is located in the middle of the Hyde Park Estate, owned by the Church Commissioners for England. Also part of the estate is Connaught Village.

Hyde Park Estate Association (HPEA)

The HPEA is the residents association for this corner of London. 

Hyde Park/Paddington Playgroup

Playgroups meet in St John's on Wednesday afternoons and Thursday mornings.

Russian-Language Playgroup

The Russian Language Playgroup meets at St John's on Wednesday mornings.

People are regularly travelling between New York and London. We have developed a special friendship with the Heavenly Rest and regularly see members of their church here and in New York.

Affirming Catholicism

A movement of inspiration and hope in the Anglican Communion, seeking to bring together and strengthen lay and ordained people who recognize the positive, inclusive and joyful currents in the Catholic tradition of Christianity.

Changing Attitude

Changing Attitude works for the full inclusion of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people in the life of the Anglican Communion. We have been members of Changing Attitude and Inclusive Church for over 10 years.

Diverse Church

Diverse Church is a supportive community of over 300 young LGBT+ Christians in UK evangelical churches. We aim to be a pastoral/mission resource for the wider church so that young LGBT+ people do not give up on God or life.
