An active Christian faith is about more than coming to church: it’s also about how we reflect our belief in God’s unconditional love for all human beings in our everyday lives. How we treat other people and how we respond to the plight of the poor, the destitute and hungry are ways in which our faith is put into action.
The Mission and Social Action group tries to find practical ways in which we can put God’s love into practice through charitable appeals, community involvement and the support of movements, such as Fair Trade, which seek to help those who are most in need. Recently we’ve been involved in Christian Aid week and the diocese of London Lent Appeal to improve health care in southern Africa. For further information about our current activities follow the links in the Related Items box.
We’re also involved in the Make Poverty History campaign and support the Millennium Development Goals.
