St John’s Kids Club takes place during our Sunday morning service at 10am. Kids Club is a wonderfully messy and fun environment where children are gently encouraged to explore the concept of spirituality on their own level through play, stories, crafts and games.

Older children work more closely with the Bible, learning how to powerfully resolve the conflicts and fears of modern life through the Christian faith.

Babies and pre-schoolers need to have a parent with them to help with any tricky sticking and glueing (the messier it is, the more fun it is!), which is also a great opportunity to meet other parents and swap parenting tips and advice over coffee.

We also have a soft play area for babies, so overall, every child has an opportunity to engage in a stimulating activity.

On Sundays children begin the service in church, worshipping with their parents in the main service for ten minutes. Then the church hall doors open and they are welcomed into Kids Club.

At around 11am they leave kids club and rejoin their families for holy communion and the final ten minutes of the service, during which they are invited to come to the front of the church for a special “show and tell” session where they display and explain what they have learnt that morning.

This unique aspect of the service is one of the things makes St John's such a special place. Families of all kinds are valued and respected as much as any other congregation members and we're proud of how the children grow in confidence and self expression in our warm embrace.
